REZULTATE DUPĂ CONFIRMĂRILE LOCURILOR, ETAPA 1, IULIE 2023
INSTRUCTIONS for correct reading of admission averages after confirmations
All candidates are competing with other candidates who have applied for the same Segment A language, i.e. main language/specialization.
Romania offers candidates the chance to study at a budget (i.e. state-funded) university only once in their lifetime.
If, for a language A, the average admission average for a fee-financed language is higher than the average admission average for a budget language, it means that the candidate has already studied another university under the budget regime and is obliged to study at the UBB Faculty of Letters under the fee regime.
REJECTED candidates are candidates who, although they had high averages, did not confirm their place, thus losing that place at the UBB Faculty of Letters.
Dear candidates, we invite you to consult, in a specially dedicated section below, the language certificates that are equivalent to a grade 10 in the admission criterion with the lower of: the average of the average of the years of high school and the average of the Baccalaureate exam.
ATTENTION!
For the Language and Literature Domain, if advanced level languages are chosen as segment A (EN or GE), the certificate will be equated only if it coincides with the language of segment A. Example: for the EN-FR combination, the certificate will be equated with CAE C2 English (or another one from the list below), not DALF C1, as English has priority as it is an advanced level language. The same goes for the combination GE + another language.
For the Language and Literature Domain, if mother tongues are chosen (RO or MA), the language certificates cannot be equated.
For the other languages, the certificates mentioned in the Regulation are equated, regardless of the combination A + B chosen.
LANGUAGE LEVEL
Language level is the knowledge that candidates must have before entering university.
In Language and Literature:
ADVANCED LEVEL: English and German
BEGINNER LEVEL: Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Norwegian, Finnish, Hebrew, Ancient Greek
BEGINNER and/or ADVANCED LEVEL: French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian, Portuguese, Latin
For candidates in the MODERN LANGUAGES APPLIED, the level of language proficiency must be ADVANCED for both languages B+C chosen.
At the Faculty of Letters, you first choose your field of study:
1. Language and Literature
2. Cultural Studies
3. Applied Modern Languages
In the field of Language and Literature, two languages, referred to as segment languages A+B (or specializations A and B), must be chosen.
In Applied Modern Languages, two languages B+C must be chosen.
See below the possible language combinations for the 2024 admission.
