The Contemporary Romanian Language Circle is affiliated with the Faculty of Letters of Babeș-Bolyai University and operates weekly, starting from the 2018-2019 academic year, with its founding member and permanent coordinator, lect. univ. dr. Cipriana-Elena ÇAVAȘ, supported in/for this endeavor by the department director, prof. univ. dr. Daiana-Theodora CUIBUS, as well as by the enthusiasm of the students from the 2018-2021 promotion.
The activities are carried out within the Faculty of Letters of Cluj-Napoca, Horea Street, no. 31. The secretariat of the circle is located in office 135, which is equipped with the necessary equipment obtained through funds from the SEED Grants accessed by lect. univ. dr. Cipriana-Elena ÇAVAȘ.
The purpose of these activities is to create an environment conducive to debates and scientific meetings specific to the contemporary Romanian language, which is why it is open to students, master’s students, doctoral students, university and pre-university teaching staff, as well as all enthusiasts of the Romanian language.
The topics addressed, both in the field of contemporary Romanian language and those of an interdisciplinary nature, are diverse and are reflected in the workshops of morphological and syntactic analysis, scientific communications and thematic conferences.
