At the Faculty of Letters, the specializations in which a university degree can be obtained belong to the following fields of study: Languages and Literatures, Ethnology, and Applied Modern Languages.
The curriculum at our Faculty allows students to choose a combination of two specializations from this offer, according to the following structure:
A main specialization
(Romanian, Universal and Comparative Literature, Hungarian, German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Classical Languages, Russian, Ukrainian, Norwegian, Finnish, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Hebrew): 9 hours/week
A secondary specialization
which includes a second language and literature from the list above: 7 hours/week
Core fundamental subjects
(General Linguistics, Literary Theory and Aesthetics, Universal and Comparative Literature): 3 hours/week
The curriculum for the Applied Modern Languages specialization (LMA), not being structured into main and secondary specializations, requires the bachelor’s exam to be taken in both languages of the specialization (which are equal in level and importance). In the LMA specialization, it is not possible to choose combinations with main or secondary specializations.
