Research domains:
My main research field is Hungarian diachronical linguistics with an accent on cognitive and interdisciplinary methods. One of my most important analyses was on semantic changes that occured in Hungarian prefixated verbs (A fel, le és alá igekötők használati köre a kései ómagyar kortól napjainkig. Erdélyi Múzeum-Egyesület, Cluj; A magyar igekötőrendszer változása a 15. századtól napjainkig hét térviszony szemantikai struktúrájának alapján. Egyetemi Műhely Kiadó, Cluj). Also I am thankful that I could be the editor in chief of the last two volumes of a very important historical dictionary (Erdélyi magyar szótörténeti tár) whose first volume appeared in 1985 having as editor in chief one of the biggest Hungarian linguists of those days, Attila Szabó T. I also gained awards and priyes for this work (in 2015 and 2008 the Prize of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences „Most Prominent Hungarian Dictionary”, in 2014 Mikó Imre plakett accorded by Transylvanian Museum Society (Cluj, Romania); in 2010 Award Mikó Imre accorded by Transylvanian Museum Society (Cluj, Romania); in 2002 Award for Hungarian Abroad Living Minorities offered by the State of Hungary). I am currently working on an Index for this monumental work.
Another major interest is teaching Hungarian as a foreign language mainly for Romanian speaking adults. I am currently working on a language book.
