I work with theater and drama in my Finnish teaching. In my research I concentrate on exploring the learning of communicative skills through drama and improvisation on the basis of conversation analysis. My work focuses on studying the different kinesthetic and verbal resources the students apply for overlapping the stops in their communication.
I’m working now on my first article about the communicative resources Finnish students apply during their Finnish language and language through drama courses at UBB.
My master’s thesis Hukutettu pukumies – Väkivaltaisten kohtausten funktiot näytelmissä SPRL ja Quai ouest (2010): examines the function of violence in the plays SPRL by Jean-Benoît Ugeux and Quai ouest by Bernard-Marie Koltès.
