The “Applications of the hermeneutical approach in the teaching of literature” program is part of a wider program, entitled “The comprehensive reading of literature”, conducted in collaboration with the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences. This program was conceived as a framework for conducting various alternative theoretical and methodological and didactic activities for the modernisation of literature teaching. The program is aimed at the creative application of the hermeneutical conception and introducing reading based on the dialogue between the text and the student in the process of teaching literature, for the development of a comprehensive aesthetic attitude that is open in both directions. This aesthetic attitude opens the way for the aesthetic experience, which offers both the joy of reading for the reader-student and an active and participative collaboration between the teacher and the student. This leads to an active, formative, and participatory learning process that could also have a renewing effect on the general didactic and pedagogical approach. The implementation of this program is based on the continuous collaboration between high school and university teachers, high school and university students, as well as other specialist from the field of educational reform.
