Dóra CZÉGÉNYI (born in 1974). After graduating from the Teachers’ Training School from Oradea (Bihor county, Romania), she received her BA degree in Hungarian literature and ethnography in 1998 from the Faculty of Letters of the Babeş-Bolyai University from Cluj-Napoca (Romania), where she also received her MA degree in ethnolinguistics and sociolinguistics in 1999. She then became a student of the Doctoral School of Hungarology at the same university, and received her PhD degree in 2012.
Between 1998 and 2000 she worked as a librarian, researcher and event organizer for the Kriza János Ethnographical Society. Since autumn 1999 she has been working at the Department of Hungarian Ethnography and Anthropology, first as a junior teaching assistant (between 1999 and 2002), later as an assistant lecturer (between 1999 and 2015), then as an assistant professor (2015 to present). Since 2009 she has been a visiting lecturer at various institutes in Hungary.
