Biography

My main research interests include experimental phonetics and theoretical phonology but I am also interested in synchronic morphology; moreover, in Hungarian and Romance dialectology. During my PhD studies I investigated about the singular laryngeal phonology of Italian (title of dissertation: How can Italian phonology lack voice assimilation?), in fact, voice assimilation is absent from Italian, unlike from other Romance languages (and voice languages in general). My favourite research field is Foreign Accent Analysis, that is, how can be reanalysed the synchronic phonology of the speakers’ mother tongue through the pronunciation of foreign languages?
