Research domains:
I have recently published 600 letters of Béla Vikár (1859-1945), the second translator of the Finnish epic, Kalevala and a main figure of the Finnish-Hungarian cultural relations. The edition comprises 580 unpublished letters and full annotations to each letter as well as the Hungarian translations for the letters written in Finnish, German or French.
In 2010 I also published a book about the reception of the Kalevala in the Hungarian literature.
I am currently working on a monography about the history of the La Fontaine Literature Society (1920-1945). It’s task was to promote the world literature in Hungary and to make Hungarian literature better known abroad.
