Call for Abstracts: The 12th World Congress of Korean Studies>

The Academy of Korean Studies (AKS) is pleased to announce that the 12th World Congress of Korean Studies will take place at the Vietnam National Universty, Hanoi – University of Languages and International Studies from October 16 (Wednesday) to October 18 (Friday), 2024.

The congress theme, ‘Beyond Boundaries: Interdisciplinary Communication in Korean Studies’ is designed to invite scholars and experts presenting recent researchers and exchanging academic information as well as networking among Koreanists.

Prospective participants are invited to submit proposals. For more details, please check the attached file.

2. Abstract Submission & Application Period

  – Application Period: February 5(Mon.) 10:00AM ~ March 22(Fri.) 5:00PM (Korea Standard Time)

  – Starting from February 5, 2024 (Monday), you can begin the submission process by clicking the „Apply” button located at the bottom right of the abstract submission link.

3. Important Dates for Prospective Participants

  – Proposal Submission Deadline: ~ March 22
  – Notification of Paper Acceptance: ~ May 3
  – Participant Registration Deadline: ~ May 31
  – Paper Submission Deadline: August 30

  ※ Papers should be submitted only by candidates for the Future Generation Korean Studies Scholar Paper Award; general presenters are not required to submit papers.
